INDIVAN would like to invite you to attend an Ultrasound Guided PIV Course on March 20, 2023.  We are excited to be able to offer this course and extensive hands-on training at: 

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital          OMP Room 1 on lower level.

The objectives for this course are: 

Participants will gain knowledge on the key principles required to:

• Safely incorporate Evidenced-Based, Ultrasound Guidance into their practice.
• Vessel and nerve identification
• Preferred PIV Site locations
• Complications and contraindications
• Aseptic Non-Touch Technique (ANTT)
• Securement

Participants will gain knowledge on the key principles of:

• Operating and maintaining an Ultrasound Device
• Probe angles and needle depth
• Ultrasound Settings

Please join us on March 20, 2023 for one of two 4-hour sessions.

The first session is 8:00am – 12:00pm. And the second is 1:00pm – 5:00pm.

Non-Member Cost: $20.00

***Individuals completing this course will “not” be considered competent.  Mentoring will need to follow based on your facilities policy to determine competency.
